I started being treated by Antonio after a friend highly recommended I go to him for acupuncture. My friend said he was so kind, gentle and knowledgeable! So I made my appointment!
I came to Antonio with migraines, grief & depression following infant loss, and I was in the beginning stages of an IVF cycle for infertility!
I had heard and read a lot regarding the benefits of acupuncture and IVF combined, and I wanted to give my IVF cycle the best shot. Antonio worked so kindly, gently, patiently and lovingly through the whole cycle! He was very supportive and encouraging in every way possible!
From my first visit with Antonio on, I found him to be exactly as I was told: a very kind, gentle & compassionate acupuncturist who was truly interested in helping me improve on all levels and achieving a success with IVF!
Over the weeks my migraines improved and my daily headaches disappeared! My grief and depression Softened and I was able to feel I could cope with day to day activities more confidently and calmly!
Antonio was so encouraging and positive! He was a big part of my IVF journey! When I got the news of a positive pregnancy test, Antonio was one of my first phone calls with the good news! He was equally as happy and excited for me!
I can't thank Antonio enough for his attention and care of my needs! I don't think I would be where I am today had I not started acupuncture treatments with Antonio!
I could not hold back from telling everyone about Antonio and how wonderful and helpful he has been for me! I booked an appointment for my mother to come with me as she has been sick for years with one thing after another. After just one visit with Antonio she was shocked how different she felt! She has continued treatments with Antonio and hasn't felt this much improvement in years! She attributes it all to Antonio and his acupuncture treatments!

I cannot express how amazing acupuncture has been for both my physical and mental health. I have been getting regular acupuncture treatments for almost 6 years now and Antonio has been treating me for more than 2 years for everything from sprained ankles to stress management to issues with fertility. I am singing the praises of acupuncture this month. It is the “cure for what ails ya”… or at least me! Acupuncturist Antonio DaSilva, at Hyannis Community Acupuncture on Bassett Lane, offers a sliding scale for fees. To keep it affordable, there may be others receiving the treatment at the same time, everyone carefully and comfortably situated in recliners. It is one of the most relaxing treatments I have ever received and has made me feel physically better than I have in a long time.

I have been treated by Antonio R. Teixeira Da Silva for over one year for knee arthritis and shoulders rotator cuff problems. Prior to this treatment, I had cortisone shots in both Knee and Shoulder every four months. Since starting acupuncture treatment, I have the same relief without cortisone shots. “By the time I heeded the advice of a coworker in March and made my first appointment with Antonio, I had almost forgotten what it was like to move with certainty, balance and confidence; without an overall “background shadow” of pain; and to have that flowing and constant visceral awareness of truly being Present.
I had wanted to explore acupuncture for years, but had waited until the last moment (or was this just the right time?) to seek relief from the accumulated effects of acute and unremitting stress that had affected mind, body, spirit and soul, and for a 2-year-old breathing problem—dyspnea—that made climbing a flight of stairs difficult. Antonio was more than patient with me that first session—needles do not bother me at all, but procedures do!
Although I believed in acupuncture (and other forms of traditional medicine and healing) as a healing tool, I had no idea what to expect, and was not at all certain what I would do if something went awry—I had lost that much confidence in my body to trust, and am very grateful it did not give up on me! After that first session, I truly believe I had been living on some sort of ‘reserve’ that I now believe was nearly spent—a prayer, maybe? I was alive again! I had not felt this good, whole and normal since I graduated college over 20 years ago—and even then, I did not have the sense of power I walked out of the room with that first session, and have kept ever since. I walked out of the room feeling as if I could fly home, could stand on the sloping roof of my apartment, look up at the early Spring stars, and not waver an inch! The pervasive feeling of literally being ‘off-balance’, and slight dizziness, was gone. It was as if I had possession of my body back, and did not realize how much I had been without it. And I received a very, very unexpected surprise when I looked in the mirror: an underlying ‘stretch’ tenseness and weariness was gone from my face, and has not returned.
Those first few sessions of feeling a very strong, buzzing and forceful (almost unpleasant at times) energy coursing throughout my body has given way to a deep, pleasant energy.
And the nicest thing about all this? Acupuncture with Antonio has changed the way I am living my life. To go back to living a life with that much stress, and so much unmindfulness of self, would be untenable; acupuncture threw down the gauntlet! And I am grateful. The work stress is still there, but now my body can actually handle it better (and therefore my mind!)
